Kalkan is the town of Kaş. It is in control of Kaş administration. Kalkan and Kaş distance is just 30kms. Almostly build formation is same Kaş and Kalkan. But there is not flat land unlike Kaş. It is diffucult to walk up to street when you have a walk down of the kalkan. It has more excursions like Kaş.
Boat trips consist of 2 type. First is depart from Kalamaki harbour and explore the kalkan bays. Second is depart from its harbour and sail to kaputaş beach. So you can see the kaputaş and blue cave by boat.
Kekova region is 60 kms away from Kalkan centre. Kekova contents Sunkencity, Simena, Pirate Cave and bays. More people come to kekova for visiting that magnificiant region. Everyone who is come to region, join the boat tour at kekova. We see the aquarium bay. It is deep but very clear. You can see the bottom of the sea. We stop at shipyard bay. It has some sunken ruins and swim over the sunken ruins. Simena is other village where is under the protection. just reachable by seaway. Sunkencity is other place that we will explore. It has sunken at 2.A.D by big earthquake. You see the some ruins, like house wall, cistern, stairs, sunken harbour etc.
Saklikent region is the rich region. It is natural region and has more canyons. If you join the saklikent safari tour, you can explore the villages of Kaş, have a walk in canyons, swim at patara and kaputaş beaches. Kaputaş beach is very popular beach. ıt has turqoise colour. Also patara beach is the longest sand beach in Turkey.
